How is God working in our parishes during this Eucharistic Revival?

In a world where there is so much bad news, it always cheers my heart and gives me hope to hear of how God is working in people’s lives. This is one of the aspects of the upcoming Deanery Eucharistic Gatherings I am most excited about. At each of these gatherings, the parishes of that area will be telling of one of the efforts that they have made in the Eucharistic Revival and of the fruit that it is bearing in the lives of the people in their parish. We will get to hear how people are getting closer to Jesus in the Eucharist, how their faith is being renewed, deepened, and enlivened. We will get to see how the Holy Spirit is working in the parish efforts, and we will get ideas for bringing the people of our own parish closer to Jesus.

The Holy Spirit has the answers we need in our world today. The Holy Spirit brings us close to Jesus, Who, in turn, brings us close to the Father. The parish efforts we will hear about were discerned in prayer at our Diocesan Eucharistic Congress, and I am looking forward to hearing more about how the Holy Spirit has led our parishes into Eucharistic Revival and how people’s lives are being transformed by their encounter with the love, mercy, and healing found in Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Jesus in the Eucharist transforms people’s hearts and people’s lives, and I am excited to hear about the joy and the peace He is bringing to our parishes.

"The Holy Spirit has the answers we need in our world today. The Holy Spirit brings us close to Jesus, Who, in turn, brings us close to the Father."

If you have a story of how you have encountered the love of Jesus because of your parish’s efforts in the Eucharistic Revival, please consider telling that to one of the members of your Parish Eucharistic Revival Team so that we can rejoice together with you.

Also, even if you do not have such a story yet, consider joining us at the Deanery Eucharistic Gathering in your area to be inspired and strengthened in your faith by hearing of what God is doing in your area. To register for the Deanery Eucharistic Gathering in your area, go to: Dates and locations of the gatherings may be found on the posters and flyers on that same webpage.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Dr. Seth Wright

Director of Missionary Discipleship
